Available Positions

Location: Saginaw

Performs a broad variety of member services functions such as opening and closing accounts, renewing and purchasing certificates, and assisting members with loan requests, bookkeeping and checking account problems. Receives and screens member walk-ins and provides referrals to Wildfire Financial Group. Performs miscellaneous support functions as needed by branch personnel. Answers member questions regarding Credit Union services provided and performs a variety of account maintenance duties. Actively cross-sells Credit Union services. Serves members promptly and professionally.

Qualifications

Education/Certification:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.

Required Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of Member Service Representative operations and procedures.
  • Basic understanding of financial institution operations.

Required Experience:

  • One to three years prior experience helpful, particularly in a financial institution setting.
  • Abilities generally acquired on the job.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Good communication skills.
  • Professional appearance, dress, and attitude.
  • Good math skills.
  • Ability to operate related computer applications and other business equipment.

Location: Bay City

Provides a variety of paying and receiving functions for members in person including, but not limited to, processing deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashiers' checks, money orders and travelers checks. Balances each day's transactions and verifies cash totals. Performs a broad variety of member services functions such as opening and closing accounts, renewing certificates, and assisting members with bookkeeping and account problems. Answers member questions regarding Credit Union services provided and performs a variety of account maintenance duties. Actively cross-sells Credit Union services. Performs specific assigned side-jobs and assists other Service Representatives with duties as required. Serves members promptly and professionally with confidentiality. This position requires excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail. Efficiency and accuracy are vital for the successful execution of this position. Excellent telephone, communication, and public relations abilities are also necessary.

Qualifications

Education/Certification:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.

Required Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of Teller operations and procedures.
  • Basic understanding of financial institution operations.
  • Understanding of Credit Union philosophy.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting concepts.

Required Experience:

  • Three to five years prior experience helpful, particularly in a financial institution setting.
  • Completed Member Service Representative Cash training.
  • Symitar/Episys experience is preferred.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Good communication and people skills.
  • Excellent telephone an dpublic relations skills.
  • Professional appearance, dress, and attitude.
  • Good math skills.
  • Ability to operate related computer applications and other business equipment.
  • Well organized and able to work independently.
  • Attentive to detail.
  • Adept at learning new things quickly.
  • Capable of articulating information in different ways.
