Position: Senior Vice President, Data Analytics

Job Description

  • Serves as the strategic leader responsible for shaping and executing the Credit Union's enterprise-wide data strategy.
  • This role oversees the development, management and governance of data analytics capabilities to support informed decision-making, operational efficiency, member engagement, and long-term growth.
  • This position will lead of team of data professionals and serve as the organization's subject matter expert in leveraging core systems, including Symitar and ARCU, along with modern analytics platforms, to deliver actionable insights from complex databases.

Knowledge

  • In-depth knowledge of data governance, data management, and data analytics.
  • Understanding of related programming languages (e.g. SQL and Episys PowerOn) and data visualization applications.

Experience

  • Minimum of 7+ or progressive experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or information management, with at least 3+ years in a senior leadership role.
  • Direct experience with Symitar core processing system and ARCU reporting/analytics platform is required.
  • Proficiency with business analytics tools, Microsoft Office, SQL and SQL Server (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, etc.).
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools, including Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and experience in designing/leveraging enterprise data warehouses.
  • Proven experience working with large-scale, complex datasets in a financial services or similar data-intensive environment.
  • Track record of leading data teams in a financial services or credit union environment strongly preferred.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or related field, Master's degree preferred.
