Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and strategic Director of Project Management to establish, lead, and mature Wildfire Credit Union's enterprise project management function. This pivotal role involves overseeing complex projects, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring alignment with business goals. Responsibilities

  • Establishing, leading, and maturing Wildfire Credit Union’s enterprise project management function
  • Design and implement a right-sized PMO framework while leading high-priority, cross-functional initiatives to establish credibility and organizational buy-in
  • Oversee both the enterprise project portfolio and IT project portfolio, ensuring strategic alignment, providing clear visibility into project health, resource capacity, risk exposure, and strategic impact
  • This role is intentionally designed to evolve. The Director will initially serve as the primary project leader while building the structure, governance, and future staffing model necessary to scale the PMO as organizational needs grow

Qualifications, Education/Certification

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Information Technology, or related field
  • PMP or similar certification preferred

Required Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Scrum) and tools

Experience Required

  • Minimum 7 - 10 years of project management experience, preferably in financial services or technology, including enterprise or cross-functional initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience building, launching, or significantly evolving a project management framework or PMO

Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Exceptional communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)
  • Ability to manage projects simultaneously and work independently
