Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Teller to join our team at Wildfire Credit Union in Midland, Michigan. In this role, you will be vital in providing exceptional service to our members while processing transactions accurately. This position offers an opportunity to grow within a supportive community-focused environment and contribute to our mission of serving members with integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately processing member transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and the issuance of cashier’s checks and money orders
  • Recommending credit union products and services that support members' financial well-being
  • Balancing daily transactions, verifying cash totals, and providing a variety of member services including account openings, certificates of deposit and wire transfers
  • Resolving account-related issues such as debit/credit card disputes and stop payments
  • Responding to member inquiries, performing account maintenance, and supporting team members as needed
  • Maintaining a high level of professionalism, accuracy, and confidentiality

Knowledge

  • Basic understanding of financial institution operations
  • Experience with related computer applications

Education

  • High school graduate or equivalent

Skills/Abilities

  • Good communication and people skills
  • Professional appearance, dress, and attitude
  • Good math skills
  • Ability to operate related computer applications and other business equipment
  • Proficient typing skills
  • Adept at learning things quickly
  • Capable of articulating information in different ways
